VIPcamautomatically opens windows for all cameras, installed on the computer; you can adjust any camera’s window by simply change it size; you can close, pause or reopen any camera; you can change properties for any camera (a button "Camera’s Properties"); you can make a snap shots with any camera (a button "Make one photo"); you can start an "Alarm watching" for any of opened cameras (a button "Show cross"); you can set a lot of "Watching Areas" for every camera by simply dragging a rectangles by your mouse; you can set an "Alarm level" for every of those "Watching Areas" by left mouse double click inside any Area’s rectangle; you can set a "beeps" on/off for every Alarm event (a button "Play beeps on Alarm"); you can set a "music sounds" on/off for every Alarm event (a button "Play sounds on Alarm"); you can set writing photo files for every Alarm event (a button "Save Photos on Alarm"); you can set writing photo files (as jpg files) to Internet FTP-server for every Alarm event (a button "Copy Alarm Photos to Internet "); you can hide the program (make it running invisible); simply and friendly user interface; How to use it: start the Program and a windows for all installed cameras will be open. close not needed cameras if you want; change a size and position of the main window; use Menu Window/Tile to place all opened Windows tiled if you want; press a button "Camera’s Properties" to change settings for camera in active window if you want; press a button "Show Cross" to start alarm watching for active camera (a camera whose window is in focus) you will see a red cross appearing on a moving objects press a button "Play beeps on Alarm" to make "beeps" on / off; press a button "Play sounds on Alarm" to make "sounds" on / off; press a left mouse button and drag a mouse right-down to draw a "Watching Area" rectangle; you can later move or change a size of any created "Watching Area" rectangle by you mouse; use a right mouse button double click inside an Area to remove it (if you want); make a left mouse button double click inside "Watching Area" rectangle to show an "Area Dialog"; change "Noise is" pointer so that there was no response to motion of tree branches, drip of a rain, solar dazzles etc; change "Object motion is" pointer to catch more or less moving objects; change "Object size is" pointer to catch smallest or biggest objects; press a button "Save Photos on Alarm"; now at each Alarm (a red cross appearing) the picture (photo) file will be written. Hints general: photos are being written as a *.jpg files; photos are being written in a directory "DATA" inside the native directory of VIPcam (typically at c:\Program Files\Valeri Vlassov\VIPcam); directories for current year, month, day are created automatically, for example: \DATA\YEAR_2010\MONTH_09_2010\DAY_30_09_2010\ photo file names are like: "Cam_02__Time_16_46_12.jpg" (for camera 2, snap shot was made at 16:46:12 hh::mm:ss); use any of your preferred picture show programs to show snapped files; to hide the program use menu "View / Hide program" or button "Hide the program". Attention! You will not have the possinility to make the program visible back. The only way is to stop VIPcam.exe running and to start the VIPcam.exe again. To stop running VIPcam.exe use Ctrl+Alt+Delete keyboard keys. It will call a list of all processes running at your computer. There select the process VIPcam.exe and stop it. Hints for Internet: press a button "Show Cross" to start alarm watching for active camera; make a left mouse button double click inside "Watching Area" rectangle to show an "Area Dialog"; input the FTP Server name, for example: ftp.microsoft.com; input the FTP User name, for example: "ANONYMOUS"; input the FTP Password, for example: " "; input the FTP Directory, for example: "www/htdocs/AlarmPhotos"; set show or not FTP error messages while running (messages will be shown in the top-left corner of the camera’s window); press a button "Save Photos on Alarm"; press a button "Copy alarm photos to Internet"; now at each Alarm (a red cross appearing) the program will try to copy saved alarm photo file to the named FTP Server directory; not all alarm photos will be copied, while the FTP-connection can be slow
